COVID-19 Vaccine Updates

The Companies continue to closely monitor the COVID-19 pandemic and vaccination updates provided by the CDC and Pennsylvania Department of Health (PADOH).  We will communicate updates via, Communication Board postings, and company-wide emails.

​The COVID-19 vaccine is another defense in the fight against COVID-19.  We encourage all employees to strongly consider receiving the COVID-19 vaccine when they are eligible for their own benefit, along with their co-workers, family, and the community. We will periodically provide more information about the benefits of the vaccine.

​Pennsylvania’s Phase 1A (currently open) has expanded to include additional categories, including those 65 and older, and those under 65 with certain health conditions.  Those include:

·        Cancer

·        Chronic kidney disease

·        COPD

·        Down Syndrome

·        Heart conditions such as heart failure, coronary artery disease or cardiomyopathies

·        Weakened immune system

·        Obesity (BMI of 30 and above)

·        Severe obesity (BMI of 40 and above)

·        Pregnancy

·        Sickle Cell Disease

·        Smoking

·        Type 2 diabetes

The COVID-19 vaccine is also eligible for the one-time $50 Be Well Benefit for employees who participate in the voluntary Accident and/or Critical Illness policies through UNUM. Information on how to obtain that payment is available in Human Resources or by contacting UNUM at 1-800-275-8686 or

Receiving the COVID-19 vaccination is not mandatory and not within the scope of your employment.
